Before Prof. ZHAO joined SUSTech, he had been working as Professor and Associate Dean in the School of Information Technology in Education, South China Normal University more than 20 years. Prof. ZHAO obtained his PhD from South China Normal University, China in 2002. Then he got his PhD from the University of Sheffield, UK in 2006. He is EC member of the International Society for Computers in Education (SCSCE), advisor of Macau society for ICT in education, and Associate Director of Expert Group for ICT in Education in Guangdong Province, etc. Prof. ZHAO have conducted more than 40 research projects and published more than 160 peer reviewed academic research papers in different journals, and 10 academic monographs. Prof. ZHAO is member of numerous editorial boards, e.g. Journal of Computers in Education, Journal of Technology Enhanced Learning, and International Journal of Social Media and Interactive Learning Environments. His research interests include ICT-supported Learning and Teaching, Learning sciences and technologies, Teachers’ Professional Development, ICT in Education etc.
