WEI Luyao
Research Assistant Professor

Dr. Wei Luyao is a research assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Southern University of Science and Technology. Her research interests focus on the development and application of nanobiomedicine, drug delivery systems, and biomedical polymer materials. She obtained her PhD in Engineering from Tsinghua University from 2016 to 2021 and conducted postdoctoral research at Southern University of Science and Technology from 2021 to 2022. After completing her postdoctoral research, she remained at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Southern University of Science and Technology and was promoted to her current position. In recent years, she has published over 10 papers in internationally renowned journals, with a total of over 100 citations; obtained 3 national patent authorizations; and participated in 1 major science and technology project and 1 general project in Shenzhen as a core member, committed to promoting frontier technological innovation and transformation in the field of biomedical engineering.

Under the guidance of Prof. Kai Li: (1) structural design of micron silver materials and their application in anti-inflammatory and wound healing; (2) Photosensitive fiber membrane was prepared by electrospinning technology to achieve antibacterial and antiviral effects; (3) Preparation of ultra small rare earth nanoparticles and its application in near infrared two Zone optical imaging (4) preparation of antibacterial hydrogels and their biomedical applications


Skills:

? Familiar with the synthesis of inorganic nano materials and organic small molecules, marine corrosion test, bacteria and cell culture and other related experiments

? Test:XRD, TEM, SEM, Mapping, SAED, FT-IR, UV-Vis, TG-DSC, BET,Confocal etal;Software: Digital micrograph, ChemOffice, CaseXPS, 3DsMax etal.
