Jinna Chen

Dr. Jinna Chen is a research associate professor in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the Southern University of Science and Technology, a high-level overseas talent in Shenzhen, and a senior member of IEEE. She is also a member of the Biomedical Photonics Professional Committee of the Chinese Optical Society, the Tumor Rhythm Professional Committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Society, and the Young Editorial Board of PhotoniX Life. Engaged in the interdisciplinary research of precision, intelligence, and individualized diagnosis and treatment technology of critical illness, mainly in early screening of critical illness, submucosal tumor detection, surgical field tissue identification, and precision medicine. She has been authorized six Chinese invention patents and translated one scientific and technological achievement. She has published 52 SCI papers with an H-Index of 16 and 1096 citations. Her representative work has been published in journals such as The BMJ, Nature Structural & Molecular Biology, Light: Science & Applications (ESI Highly Cited Paper), Analytical Chemistry, and ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces. She has served as the chair of the IEEE Optoelectronics Global Conference on Biomedical Photonics four times. She won the 2023 Photonics Global Conference (PGC) Young Scientist Award. She was the champion of the 3rd Entrepreneurship Planning Competition of Sun Yat-sen University's "Bauhinia Valley Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Counseling Center" in 2018.

* Interdisciplinary research of precision, intelligence, and individualized diagnosis and treatment technology of critical illness

* Early screening of critical illness: Body fluid Raman spectroscopy chip, equipment and diagnostic algorithm

* Submucosal tumor detection: High-resolution optical coherence tomography and functional ultrasound multi-mode endoscopic system

* Surgical tissue identification: Raman hyperspectral imaging equipment and intelligent algorithm for tumor boundary tissue identification

* Precision medicine: Quantitative technology of blood drug concentration and multimodal efficacy prediction algorithm
